The Evil Motherf*ckers

Dark One's Voice James Earl Jones - 74.5%
Tim Curry - 4.9%
Michael Dorn - 2.0%

Well, it's not like there was really any doubt about this one. The voice of Thulsa Doom, Darth Vader, and CNN, if anybody's going to shake your spine with fear, it's going to be James Earl.
James Earl Jones

A runner-up for me was Michael Wincott, who some of you may remember from 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' as Guy of Gisborne. He's got a great gravelly voice. You can't beat Jones, though.
James Earl Jones
Padan Fain Steve Buscemi - 28.8%
Robert Carlyle - 10.0%

Buscemi's played enough wackos and psychos that Padan Fain is really typecasting. Robert Carlyle was quite the sociopath in 'Trainspotting', and an even better cannibal in 'Ravenous'. Either of these guys would make logical choices.
Kevin Spacey

But I prefer the guy who played Keyser Soze in 'The Usual Suspects' and the deranged mofo in 'Se7en'. He's got that oily, insinuating atmosphere about him, like a used car salesman, but there's danger behind those eyes, a deep, soul-shattering danger.
Kevin Spacey
Moridin Tom Cruise - 6.7%
Johnny Depp - 6.7%
Billy Zane - 6.7% (tie)

The votes for Moridin are all over the map. The three top vote-getters, as you can see, only account for a fifth of the total votes cast in this role. The truly head-slapping picks are Gene Hackman and Jack Nicholson. Moridin is a young guy. Hackman and Nicholson are senior citizens!
Jude Law

It's time for Jude to play a villain. He has a strange darkness about him, a melancholy demeanor that's vaguely unsettling. He's never going to be a shiny happy person.
Jude Law
Shaidar Haran Brent Spiner - 9.1%

Brent Spiner was the only actor to get more than one vote; there are two dozen other actors voted for this role, including Will Smith, Clancy Brown, Christopher Lambert, The Undertaker, and Janet Reno. There was one vote for CGI (a computer-generated image), which makes the most sense, probably.
Michael Wincott

The idea here is really about Wincott's voice, since we never get to see Shaidar Haran's face (he's a super Myrddraal, remember). He'd scare me if he snuck up on me and uttered my name in a gravelly undertone.
Michael Wincott
Halima/Aran'gar Jennifer Lopez - 12.5%
Catherine Zeta-Jones - 9.4%
Salma Hayek - 9.4%

Swaying hips, an inviting smile, and knockout looks... All three of these women qualify for the role of Halima without question. The list of actresses voted for Halima reads like a 'Who's Hot In Hollywood' roster. Tough to choose a winner here.
Charisma Carpenter

She plays aspiring actress Cordelia Chase on 'Angel' and 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer', and for sure, she's got the package. Can she play a conniving, evil bitch? Oh yeah.
Charisma Carpenter
Osan'gar Gary Oldman - 13.3%
Michael Wincott - 13.3%

Here we find a favorite pick for bad guy of the week, Gary Oldman, who has played more villains than just about anybody I can think of. Osan'gar's a bit of a mystery to us, but if we assume that Osan'gar is Dashiva (haven't read Winter's Heart yet)...
Christopher Walken

One of my favourite evil bastards, Walken makes every character he plays interesting to watch, even in terrible movies ('Suicide Kings' is a good example of that).
Christopher Walken
Cyndane Heather Locklear - 10.5%
Sharon Stone - 5.3%
Renee Zellweger - 5.3%

This was another tough choice for people, since we barely know Cyndane (or whether she really is Lanfear reborn). All the votes reflected this, as they ranged from Meg Ryan to Reese Witherspoon.
Madonna

I'm thinking, Cyndane, control freak, tries too hard to make an impression, thinks more highly of herself than others do...Madonna!
Madonna
Lord Luc Daniel Day-Lewis - 30.8%
David Duchovny - 7.7%
Brad Pitt - 7.7%

This was an easy victory for the last Mohican, Daniel Day-Lewis. I think Duchovny lacks the compelling charisma of Lord Luc's character, but Brad Pitt is a good fit. Some joker voted for the country singer Randy Travis. At least, I hope it was a joke.
Brad Pitt

Through consistent badgering from my wife, Aviendha, I have come to better appreciate Brad Pitt and his acting skills. (I still don't buy into the whole 'Legends of the Fall' damage, though) Looks kind of ratty in that picture, doesn't he?
